π Dressing appropriately for the weather in Kananaskis (Nakiska Ridgetop) is crucial; checking the current weather forecast before arrival is advised.
π’ Thermal winter boots, such as Sorels, are needed. UGG style boots are not suitable. A limited number of winter boots are available for rent.
π§£ A warm hat, sunglasses, and warm gloves or mitts are essential.
π§₯ Dress warmly in layers for snowshoeing; wool or fleece is recommended over cotton, including long underwear, a mid-layer, and a jacket.
π§₯ A winter jacket that is warm yet breathable is preferred over heavy ski jackets unless it's very cold.
π Lightly insulated or winter hiking pants are recommended.
π A small backpack with snacks and water is suggested.
π§€ When dressing for snowshoeing, opt for warmer gloves and a cooler jacket than expected, and consider bringing a day pack for extra layers.
π©Ί Guests should be in good health for the tour and are advised to complete the COVID-19 self-assessment beforehand. In case of necessary self-isolation or testing, please inform our shop to arrange a Raincheck and an alternate tour date.
